The Atlanta office recently hosted its second annual Charity Golf Tournament at Bear’s Best Golf Course. Colleagues, clients and alumni gathered for a day of food and fun on the course to contribute to a good cause.
Through registrations, raffles and a silent auction, the event nearly tripled last year’s haul and raised more than $7,000. To maximize their impact, the team has also applied for Protiviti to match the donation.
All proceeds will benefit the Atlanta Community Scholarship Program. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our Atlanta colleagues and alumni, local student Parris Brown was able to start his college career at Fisk University last year. This year, the team has elected to sponsor Dishawn Cullen as their second scholar.
Though Parris couldn’t attend, he sent in a video update which was screened at the event. For alum Bryan Burnhart, who worked for Protiviti from 2003 to 2006, the video was the highlight of the day: “It’s the best part of the event because you can see the direct impact the Atlanta office is making in the community.”
On the evolution of the event, Bryan also shared that he was amazed by its growth from an informal golf outing to a charity event: “The office has hosted informal golf events throughout the years, but it’s exciting to see how many more people are involved now and there’s a good cause behind it.”
